چکیده

This work is conducted to investigate how the initial concentration and the severity of HIV which spreads over the lymphoid tissues affect the dynamics of infection, and to what extent?. Therefore, we vary the initial concentration of HIV infected cells, DC M P _ , and the severity of HIV infected cells, 4 _ T I P , of a stochastic cellular automaton for HIV infection which describes the dynamics of HIV infected cells spreading over a patch of lymphoid tissues. Our results reveal that the variations of DC M P _ and 4 _ T I P do not change the feature of the dynamics of the model. They affect the dynamics of the model in the following ways: the greater the magnitude of DC M P _ and 4 _ T I P , the faster the dynamics during the primary phase, and the severity parameter has greater effect on the model than does the HIV’s initial concentration.

Dynamics of HIV infection studied with cellular automata and conformon-P systems

Recently a cellular automaton (CA) has been used to model the dynamics of HIV infection, with interesting results. We replicate and further test this model, and we introduce an alternative model based on conformon-P (cP) systems. We find (in common with other recently published comments) that the CA model is very sensitive to initial conditions and produces appropriate qualitative dynamics only...

Evaluation of clinical course and laboratory findings in HIV/HTLV-1 co-infection compare with HIV mono infection

Background: In the last 10 years, co-infection of human immunodeficiency virus/human T-cell leukemia virus-1 (HIV/HTLV-1) has emerged as a worldwide health problem. These viruses has the same route to infect human but different effects on CD4 positive T-cells. There was controversial results about the influence of co-infection HIV/HTLV-1 pathogenesis. This study compared clinical course and lab...

A stochastic model for early HIV-1 population dynamics.

A simple stochastic mathematical model is developed and investigated for early human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1) population dynamics. The model, which is a multi-dimensional diffusion process, includes activated uninfected CD4(+)T cells, latently and actively infected CD4(+)T cells and free virions occurring in plasma. Stochastic effects are assumed to arise in the process of infectio...

Stability and Numerical Analysis of Malaria- mTB- HIV/AIDS Co-infection (TECHNICAL NOTE)

In this paper, we develop a mathematical model to examine the transmission dynamics of curable malaria, curable mTB and non-curable HIV/AIDS and their co-infection. The size of population has been taken as varying due to the emigration of susceptible population. The total population is divided into five subclasses as susceptible, malaria infected, mTB infected, HIV infection and AIDS by assumin...
